Nancy Anger, RYT Nancy Anger, RYT is the founder and director of State of Grace Yoga and Wellness Center (formerly Yoga Works). She is a certified yoga teacher and is registered with the National Yoga Alliance. As a former aerobics instructor and long time student, Nancy enjoyed the many benefits of a regular physical fitness/health practice. In the early 90’s she began taking meditation and other holistic health classes to further enhance her health and wellness. In the late 90’s she began practicing yoga to relieve stress and chronic back pain and soon discovered that yoga offered her the best of both worlds with a physical practice as well as tools for releasing both physical and mental stress. After attending her first Anusara workshop in November 2000, she was inspired to teacher yoga and stress reduction as a way of sharing this healing uplifting practice with others. She has found much joy in teaching and regularly attends workshops, trainings and classes. Among her teachers she continues her studies with John Friend, the founder of Anusara yoga as well as several other Anusara Teachers from around the country. In July 2007, her former studio of 5 years, known as Yoga Works, was destroyed in the Bernat Mill fire. She reopened as State of Grace Yoga and Wellness Center in January 2008 and expanded to offer a variety of classes, services and workshops with a talented staff of passionate, dedicated professionals. Her mission at State of Grace is to create a community for joy, wellness, beauty and healing through a variety of modalities and services and to inspire beauty from the inside out. Nancy shares her light hearted teaching style and the desire to inspire others with this transformational practice which can help bring you into alignment and a place of greater ease in both your body and your life. She offers day and evening classes for teens and adult as well as private instruction and yoga therapy. |
